OT Staying True
Occupational therapy has evolved and came a long way since it first began. New ideas and approaches have been used and integrated. Important occupations to clients have changed from what they were a hundred years ago. Something that hasn't change, however, is how occupational therapists have centered their practice around the client and the client's needs and desires. From the beginning, occupational therapists have been more holistic than most medical professions. One hundred years later and that is still the case.
